Sunday: ‘The Office’ Quasi-Mini-Marathon

[IMG:L]The Office — 8/7c-10/9c on NBC

Alright, it’s a little cheap of NBC, but we’ll take The Office any way we can get it.

These repeats, which were originally an hour long each, have been split into two separate, half-hour episodes to make it appear as though the network is airing four reruns–thus comprising a mini-marathon.

Again, it’s really just two episodes from the beginning of this season passed off as four, but either way, they’re somewhat mandatory viewing for those of us gearing up for the (hour-long) finale this Thursday–if only to remember the days when Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam (Jenna Fischer) weren’t so lovey-dovey!

The first two feature Michael’s (Steve Carell) 5K “Fun Run,” organized with the hopes of eradicating of rabies.

In the latter two, newly scruffy/hateable boss Ryan (B.J. Novak) returns to his old stomping grounds of Scranton hoping to push Dunder-Mifflin into the digital age. He is, of course, met with resistance from Michael.
