The Chainsmokers oust Calvin Harris as highest paid DJ act

Electronic dance music duo The Chainsmokers have dethroned Calvin Harris as the world’s highest paid DJ act.
The Scottish musician has spent six years at the top of Forbes’ Highest-Paid DJs/Electronic Cash Kings list, but now it’s time for hitmakers Drew Taggart and Alex Pall to claim the number one spot for 2019.
According to Forbes, The Chainsmokers earned $46 million (£37 million) in pretax income from June 2018 to June 2019, with Marshmello coming in second on the list with $40 million (£32 million). Calvin drops to three on this year’s countdown with a far-from-shabby $38.5 million (£31 million) haul.
Steve Aoki and Diplo round out the top five.
