Bosses at Warner Bros. are developing a small screen adaptation of Martin Scorsese’s acclaimed film The Departed.
The executives are hoping the TV drama will debut on Internet streaming service Amazon.
The new version of the project will reportedly centre on a young cop who goes undercover to infiltrate a Latino gang in Chicago, Illinois.

The Oscar-winning 2006 film starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon as police officers in Boston, Massachusetts. A critical and commercial success, it was nominated for six Academy Awards and scored Scorsese his first and only Best Director win.
