Cartier Grand Reopening
A diamond in the rough no more. Now polished, gleaming and glittering, Cartier unveiled it’s brand-new three-story jewelry salon on Rodeo Drive with a star-studded bash–Teri Hatcher, Debra Messing and Kristin Davis topped the guest list-that both celebrated the opening of the long-awaited new store and the jeweler’s 25th year in Beverly Hills. When it comes to style icons, Brit beauties Sienna Miller and Kate Moss top the list among today’s trendsetters. Forget the typical bird-brained blonde jokes: a pack of platinum-tressed celebrities including Nicole Richie and reformed redhead Lindsay Lohan proved to be quite bright indeed when they popped into West Hollywood’s trendy Kitson boutique for the “Natural Blonde” Shopping Party and Clothing Launch to snatch samples from the new ‘Tweety’ collection of clothing, featuring Looney Tunes’ animated icon Tweety Bird. Gigi Grazer Book Launch
The ultra-luxe book launch for novelist/screenwriter Gigi Levangie Grazer turned out to be a real Cinderella story when superstar Russell Crowe made a surprise appearance at the party. Well, maybe not so much of a surprise, considering that Crowe‘s made two films with Gigi’s hubby, the spiky-haired powerhouse producer Brian Grazer. And we got lucky. Idiot! You only missed the most totally awesome post-MTV Movie Awards event EVER. In the spirit of the video network’s Best Film, Napoleon Dynamite, Ciroc Vodka tapped the most popular kid in school, Pedro (aka actor Efren Ramirez) to throw “Pedro’s After Party.” OK, there were no llamas or even ligers to be seen. But when you spot Taryn Manning toting a plush purple unicorn through the party, past Anthony Michael Hall and the popcorn trophy he earned for the immortal Breakfast Club, you know you’ve found the most off-kilter MTV Awards After-Party in town.
