Tom Hanks to interview Bruce Springsteen for Tribeca Talks series

Rock icon Bruce Springsteen will reflect on his long-running career in an interview with Tom Hanks at the upcoming Tribeca Film Festival.

The Born to Run hitmaker’s chat with the Oscar winner on 28 April (17) will be among the highlights of the New York festival’s Tribeca Talks series, which pairs various people from the entertainment industry to discuss their careers in depth in front of a live audience.

Barbra Streisand is also booked to sit down with director Robert Rodriguez, while Jon Favreau will be interviewed by his Iron Man 2 star Scarlett Johansson, and Dustin Hoffman will speak with writer/director Noah Baumbach.

Lena Dunham and her Girls co-writer/producer Jennifer Konner, and rapper/actor Common and filmmaker Nelson George are among the other planned talks, which will also include sit-downs with retired basketball star Kobe Bryant, The Hurt Locker director Kathryn Bigelow, and The Revenant’s Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu.

The 2017 Tribeca Film Festival, co-founded by Robert De Niro, will take place from 19 to 30 April (17).
