Tony Iommi sponsoring new music scholarship in his native city

Former Black Sabbath star Tony Iommi is sponsoring a new music scholarship at the BIMM Institute Birmingham in England.
The guitarist is behind the $25,900 (£20,250) handout, which recognises talent and creativity in music.
BIMM Birmingham’s executive principal Dara Kilkenny says, “Tony Iommi has agreed to put his name to a scholarship which will be worth £20,250 for one of the applicants. It’s available to all disciplines, all degree students. You will not pay any fees.”
Iommi adds, “It’s fantastic,” and urges scholars to “go for it and work as hard as you can. Believe in what you are doing… and follow it through.”
