Trey Songz & Juvenile taking part in first Essence Festival celebrity basketball clash

Trey Songz, Ray J and Juvenile will be showing off their sporting skills on the court at the first Essence Festival charity celebrity basketball game.
The trio will line up with former NBA professionals Chris Jackson, Robert Pack, Caron Butler, and Ben Gordon for the inaugural event, staged by Master P’s Team Hope NOLA foundation, in New Orleans, Louisiana on 29 June (17).
Master P and his son Romeo Miller will also play in the game, along with Silkk the Shocker, Curren$y, and Doug E. Fresh.
Announcing the event, Master P says, “I reached out to some of my colleagues and friends and told them what we are doing to help raise money for the children in New Orleans and the response has been overwhelming.”
The big game will be held at the Xavier University of Louisiana Convocation Center in New Orleans.
Meanwhile, in related celebrity basketball news, Nicki Minaj has signed on to perform during the first-ever NBA Awards next month (Jun17).
The rapper will be appearing at the awards show alongside host Drake and some of NBA’s biggest stars.
