Trisha Yearwood joins forces with 7Up

Trisha Yearwood is the face of 7Up’s summer campaign.
The three-time Grammy winner is also a keen chef, and has released three recipe books detailing the food she shares with her family, including husband Garth Brooks, and fronts Emmy-winning Food Network show Trisha’s Southern Kitchen.
She’s now teaming up with the American soda giant to share her food ideas using 7Up.
“I use (7Up) probably more in recipes than I do drinking it by itself,” Trisha told Variety, adding that she has lots of ideas for using the drink in new recipes. “It’s basically summer things like glazes that you make for skewers that you’re going to put on the grill, or how you add 7-UP to different kinds of drink mixes.”
Dishes include pulled chicken sliders and cherry cake with a sour cream frosting, both incorporating the fizzy drink.
The 52-year-old singer was quick to add that she agreed to front the campaign as she is long-time fan of the soda brand.
“I wouldn’t want to put my name on something that I didn’t use,” she stated. “I’m by nature very controlling, and have been from the beginning of my music career, and I (am still that way) in everything.”
