TV ratings: “Millionaire” still 1, 2, 3

For the second week in a row, ABC’s Who Wants To Be A Millionaire dominated the top 10, snagging the top three positions. CBS remained strong yet again, as Everybody Loves Raymond and 60 Minutes made impressive showings.

NBC scored with new episodes of Fear Factor and Spy TV, but the Peacock Network also found its way into the top 25 with reruns of Law and Order, Friends, Law and Order: SVU, E.R. and Frasier.

ABC, however, should be the network enjoying the most satisfaction–and not just because of the success of Millionaire. The summer ratings have proven one thing: news magazine programs are sure-fire winners. ABC’s Primetime Thursday, 20/20 Downtown and its John Stossel Special also made the top 20, which will no doubt spur the network to create additional news programs–such as Stossel–later in the summer.
