The search is on
On this week’s episode of Tori and Dean: Inn Love, the couple goes on a road trip to find their dream house for their future Bed and Breakfast. Many of the towns they visit don’t seem that appealing, and the process is proving more difficult than they had thought. But that’s probably because in-between trips, Tori visits her OBGYN since she is constantly worried about her unborn child. Once she realizes taking a bath will NOT cook her son and some late night “jostling” won’t harm him either, things run much more smoothly. Tori and Dean also visit a high end boutique to register for their baby shower. Of course, Tori immediately shoots down any suggestions Dean makes. So a beaten down Dean retreats to the corner of the store and falls asleep in a chair. Till death do you part Dean. After scouring the California mountainside, they finally find their dream house. But can they afford it? Find out next week…
Sligh-tly slighted
I have to admit I’m a little saddened by this week’s American Idol. One of my favorite male contestants, Chris Sligh, was voted off the show. But that’s not what upsets me. It’s the fact that he reportedly wanted to quit the competition weeks ago and the only reason he stayed was to make it into the Top 10 and go on tour this summer. Now that just seems selfish. Moving on, this week performances were quite boring. No one really let loose. The contestants sang songs from the ’90’s with Gwen Stefani acting as the night’s “Music Mentor.” According to the judges, Gina, who sang “I’ll stand by you,” gave one of her best performances–and I completely agree. And as always, Sanjaya took the attention off of his singing and directed it towards his hair. Joining Chris in the bottom two were Haley Scarnato and Phil Stacey. So long Curly.
Nice to meet you, anyway
We finally got to know more about the two castaways, Nikki and Paola, on Wednesday’s episode of Lost. Too bad they died (or did they?) shortly after. And why did they have a walkie-talkie? Were they working with the others? Also, Charlie confesses to Sun a secret he’s been keeping since season two. To find out what the secret is and to learn what happened to Nikki and Paolo read Hollywood.com’s Lost recap.
Lovers lane
Finally, October Road is starting to get interesting. The first two episodes were pretty bland for a new series. While I understand plots, characters, and back stories need to be developed, the show’s pacing had been a little off. This week’s episode revolves around Sam trying to catch the attention of his crush Amanda. Instead of reaching out to his mother’s boyfriend, Sam turns to Nick to help him “rock the stadium of her heart.” Meanwhile, Eddie and Janet go on a “maybe date.” Things start out a bit rocky when Janet thinks Eddie took her to a restaurant on the outskirts of town because he was embarrassed to be seen with her. But it was for the veal scaloppini. Another budding romance is happening with Physical Phil and the pizza delivery girl. That relationship might prove more challenging than Janet and Eddie’s since Phil won’t leave the house–ever. Even when his neighbor suffers a heart attack and dies on the street, he still does NOT leave the house. Unfortunately, Sam’s final attempt at wooing Amanda at the Pumpkin Festival falls short and leaves them both in tears. It also leaves Nick in the doghouse with Hannah. As he sits there wondering what went wrong, Audrey (a student from Nick’s class) comes over to say goodnight–with a kiss. Ooh, I don’t like her. She is going to ruin things for Nick and Hannah. After she’s done throwing herself at him, Ray informs Nick that Hannah broke up with him last night. Hmm, I wonder why.
Fast Forward
On The Office, Andy returns to Dunder-Mifflin after going through weeks of anger management training. Perhaps he could give Roy some tips. My Name is Earl returns with Randy trying to make a name for himself and How I Met Your Mother is back with some pre-wedding parties. Also, on Lost, a castaway comes down with a strange illness.
