Unreleased Tupac music and lyrics up for sale

A lucky buyer is selling unreleased music and song lyrics by slain rapper Tupac Shakur that he bought as part of a deal on online listings board, Craigslist.
Three notebooks containing notes handwritten by Tupac, including ideas and lyrics, and some CDs with unreleased tracks were acquired after the person in possession of the rare archive answered an ad for baseball cards, according to a report on TMZ. The seller also had the Tupac merchandise in his possession, reportedly because his father had worked with the rapper for years.
TMZ claim the handwriting in the notebooks matches the rapper’s handwriting in a prison letter that hit the market for $255,000 (£180,000) in October on website Moments in Time (MiT). MiT will also sell the newly discovered items.
However, the items certainly won’t come cheap. It’s estimated the two-page Point The Finga music video notes could fetch as much as $35,000 (£25,000) minimum. And all sales may not be final, as Tupac’s mother Afeni, has a strict policy of pursuing buyers and sellers of her son’s memorabilia.
A biopic about the late star, who was murdered in a drive-by shooting at the age of 25, is currently in production. All Eyez On Me, also the title of Tupac’s fourth studio album, released in 1996 under Death Row Records, sees the deceased rapper played by actor Demetrius Shipp, Jr., and The Walking Dead’s Danai Gurira will play Tupac’s mother, former Black Panther Afeni Shakur. The biopic is being directed by Benny Boom.
