Wheel of Fortune’s O’Donnell dies

O’Donnell passed away on Sunday (31Oct10) at his Los Angeles home, reports the Associated Press.

He began his career as a popular radio DJ in New York before moving into TV and working with Dick Clark on classic variety show American Bandstand.

He is best known for delivering the Wheel of Fortune introduction over 28 years on the long-running gameshow. O’Donnell also served as an announcer for Hollywood’s Academy Award and Emmy telecasts.
