Will Ferrell stunned his kids with John Lithgow movie kiss

Will Ferrell’s kids were left red-faced after witnessing the actor kiss John Lithgow on the lips as they filmed the new sequel to Daddy’s Home.
The comedy star invited his three boys to pay their famous father a visit on the set of Daddy’s Home 2, but Ferrell forgot to give his sons Magnus, 13, Mattias, 10, and seven-year-old Axel some advanced warning about the same-sex smooch he was going to film with Lithgow, who portrays his onscreen dad.
“I have the lovely and masterful John Lithgow, who plays my father, and we (our characters) are very emotionally available to each other,” Ferrell explained on U.S. breakfast show Good Morning America. “Every time we see each other we kiss on the lips, which was my suggestion!
“(The first greeting scene between the pair was) literally the first day of filming that my kids visited the set, so I didn’t tell them that I would be kissing this other actor.”
Luckily, Will’s children were able to laugh off the odd public display of affection, although the comedian had a few questions to answer after the shoot.
“They were laughing so hard, but at the same time, they were like, ‘That’s so embarrassing! How do you do it? How do you do that?’,” he recalled. “They couldn’t believe it. I said, ‘Well, I’m paid a handsome amount of money to do that!'”
Despite making light of the close father-son relationship between Lithgow’s character Don Whitaker and Will’s Brad in the film, Ferrell insists he has nothing against public displays of affection between parents and their children in real life.
“I support dads openly showing affection to their kids,” he added.
Daddy’s Home 2 features Will reprising his role as Brad Whitaker, the mild-mannered stepfather to Dylan and Megan, who has to work with their biological dad, Mark Wahlberg’s Dusty Mayron, to co-parent, while also dealing with their own fathers visiting for the holidays. Mel Gibson plays Dusty’s dad, Kurt.
