Wyclef Jean and Smokey Robinson join Thanksgiving Day Parade

Wyclef Jean and Smokey Robinson are among the celebrity guests set to appear at Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on 23 November (17).
The musicians will participate in the 91st annual holiday parade in New York City along with stars including Common, Flo Rida, Andra Day, Bebe Rexha, 98 Degrees and U.S. talk show host Jimmy Fallon and his house band The Roots, according to The Associated Press.
Former Hamilton star Leslie Odom Jr. has also been announced by Macy’s executives, as well as the Goo Goo Dolls, actress Kat Graham, singer Andy Grammer and some of the puppets from Sesame Street.
The special, which will air as part of America’s Today show on NBC, will also feature performances from the casts of Broadway shows Dear Evan Hansen, Anastasia and SpongeBob SquarePants, and a gigantic balloon of Olaf, the snowman from Disney’s 2013 animation Frozen.
Josh Gad, the voice of Olaf, said in a statement: “Having an Olaf balloon alongside Mickey, Elmo, and Big Bird is a dream come true and something that, because (the parade’s) so storied and has such a long tradition, I now get to share that with my own kids.”
Kelsea Ballerini, Jason Mraz and the cast of Broadway musical Waitress, and stars of Come From Away will perform during the CBS network’s coverage of the parade.
