Wyclef Jean heading to Law & Order: SVU

Rapper Wyclef Jean has landed a guest role on crime drama Law & Order: SVU.
The former Fugees musician has been cast as a famed musical producer who’s hottest client is involved in an assault case in the upcoming episode Bad Rap, which is set to air in the U.S. later this autumn (16) in the show’s 18th season.
Jean, who is gearing up to release a new EP J’ouvert in November (16), shared the news article on Twitter but didn’t make his own comment. He joins other season 18 guest stars Anthony Edwards from ER, E.T. star Henry Thomas and Vice President Joe Biden. The latter two appeared on Wednesday night’s (28Sep16) episode.
Jean has previously enjoyed roles in TV movie Carmen: A Hip Hopera, and TV shows Nashville, Third Watch, and American Dreams, plus cameos in 2005 movie Be Cool and TV comedy 30 Rock.
