Xzibit to quit rap game after three more albums

Xzibit is set to quit the rap game after three more albums so he can focus on his family and films.
The X hitmaker, real name Alvin Joiner, has revealed he always planned to hang up the mic after 10 albums and now is three away from realising his dream retirement.
“I am a family man. Travelling, touring, it takes a lot away from my family, so now I made the decision (to step back),” he tells Access Hollywood Live. “Nobody told me when to start, nobody’s gonna tell me when to finish.
“I’ll be able to put 10 of my albums together; right now I’m at seven… I’ll do, like, two or three more and then that’s when I think I’ll quit as a performer…
“I love what hip hop has done for my life but I’m not gonna let it take my life.”
Xzibit, who has a 21-year-old son and a six-year-old, won’t be short of work after winning rave reviews for his role as a villain in TV drama Empire.
He has also appeared in Gridiron Gang and xXx: State of the Union.
