Steve Martin tweeted to his thousands of his fans that the iconic Meryl Streep will be joining the cast for season 3. “The filming of season 3 of ‘Only Murders in the Building’ has begun! A cast to dream of.” he wrote.

Selena Gomez also posted to her Instagram where both Paul Rudd and Meryl Streep were included. In the video Streep tried to attend to everyone’s needs while Martin Short cheekily asked for his tea.
Meryl Streep is no stranger to murder or mystery
Meryl Streep has starred in several TV shows and movies including Sophie’s Choice, Mamma Mia, The Devil Wears Prada, and August Osage County. She proves she’s no stranger to murder or mystery starring in the dark comedic film Sophie’s Choice and the drama Big Little Lies which did involve around one big murder.
She’ll fit in with the trio and show so well. We’re not too worried.
Meryl Streep is not the only big name joining the cast
Along with Meryl Streep, Paul Rudd will be in season 3 of the series. Unfortunately, he will die almost instantly in season 3 and be the new murder plot point for the season. Jesse Williams will also make his way to the building as well, although we don’t know what part he’ll be playing.
