Columbia Movie Theaters: GQT Forum 8

Columbia’s GQT Forum 8 offers movie-goers an immersive experience with its D-BOX seating. With D-BOX, guests can purchase tickets to sit in a box where their seats move along with the action of the film. Viewers who opt for traditional seating can watch their movies in GQT Forum 8’s comfortable stadium seating.

The GQT Forum 8 sells movie tickets at reasonable prices, with all types of tickets priced under $10. Movie-goers can purchase their tickets online or at the theater’s self-serve ticketing kiosks, which helps to avoid long lines at the box office. Guests can even see movies for $5 on Mondays and Tuesdays!

The GQT Forum 8’s concession stand has typical movie theater snacks at decent prices. Reviewers say that this theater serves the best popcorn and they love that they can refill their sodas at the self-serve fountains. Columbia Movie Theaters: Ragtag Cinema

Located in the heart of Columbia, Ragtag Cinema’s history dates back to 1998 when the all-volunteer Ragtag Film Society began screening films at a downtown concert venue. In 2001, this project transformed into Ragtag Cinemacafé, a movie house that served food from a local bakery. After undergoing many changes throughout the years and with help and funding from the community, the current Ragtag Cinema opened in the old Coca-Cola bottling plant in 2008.

Ragtag Cinema shows a combination of the latest Hollywood films, older fan-favorites, and lesser-known releases that you won’t find at most other movie theaters. Ragtag Cinema screens its films using digital and 35mm projection. Aside from its history and unique variety of films, what makes Ragtag Cinema unique is the attached bakery and bar called Uprise Bakery where patrons can visit before or after their film. B&B Theatres Fulton Cinema 8 is located about 25 miles outside of Columbia and offers films in RealD 3D allowing guests to have an immersive movie-going experience. According to The Marshall Democrat-News, the theater’s owner Kate Thompson said that she and her family had heard and seen mysterious things in the building. Columbia Movie Theaters: VIP Lake West Cinemas

VIP Lake West Cinemas is part of the family owned and operated VIP movie theater chain. This theater shows the latest Hollywood releases at reasonable prices. Evening tickets cost only $7 before tax and tickets on Tuesdays are only $5!

 

VIP Lake West Cinemas offer standard movie concessions to its guests. These include popcorn, candy, soft drinks, pretzels, and nachos. Reviewers noted that there is a lot of space in between the rows of seats in the auditoriums and praised the audio and video quality. One reviewer on Google wrote, “Great experience! Columbia Movie Theaters: Marcus Eagles’ Landing Cinema

Marcus Eagles’ Landing Cinema is located about 60 miles outside of Columbia in Lake Ozark. This theater offers screenings of select films in RealD 3D or 70 mm film. Guests can enjoy their movies in the auditoriums’ comfortable stadium seating.

Marcus Eagles’ Landing Cinema guests can order their movie theater snacks in advance on the theater’s website or on an app. Concession options include classic movie theater fare, with the addition of hot options like hot dogs, pretzel bites, and nachos.
