The line-up for the 2017 Cannes Film Festival line-up was announced on Thursday (13Apr17) in Paris.
Most notably, Nicole Kidman will be making multiple appearances at the 70th edition of the French film event in May (17) in support of three movies and a TV show.

Other competition titles include Todd Haynes‘ Wonderstruck, which stars Julianne Moore and Michelle Williams, Lynne Ramsay’s You Were Never Really Here, with Joaquin Phoenix, and The Meyerowitz Stories by Noah Baumbach, which features an all-star cast including Ben Stiller, Emma Thompson, and Adam Sandler.

Also competing for the coveted Palme d’Or is Good Time by Benny and Josh Safdie, which stars Robert Pattinson, Okja by Bong Joon-Ho, which features Jake Gyllenhaal, Tilda Swinton and Paul Dano, Michael Haneke’s Happy End, starring Isabelle Huppert and Toby Jones, and Ismael’s Ghosts with Marion Cotillard and Charlotte Gainsbourg.

Other notable screenings including actor/screenwriter Taylor Sheridan’s latest directorial effort Wind River, which stars Elizabeth Olsen and Jeremy Renner, as part of the Un Certain Regard section, Kristen Stewart’s directorial short Come Swim, which previously debuted at Sundance Film Festival in January (17), Oscar-winning director Alejandro G. Inarritu’s short virtual reality project, and Vanessa Redgrave’s documentary Sea Sorrow, about refugees.
The Cannes Film Festival runs from 17 to 28 May (17). Spanish director Pedro Almodovar will serve as jury president.
