The Cast of ‘American Pie’ – Where Are They Now?

American Pie released in theaters in all the way back in 1999. Since then, we’ve had several sequels – some great like American Wedding – and some terrible, like American Pie: The Naked Mile…and every other straight-to-DVD spin-off. We might know what Jason Biggs is up to right now, but what about the rest of the gang?

After American Pie released, Jason Biggs went on to star in the 3 theatrical sequels for this film, the most recent being American Reunion in 2012. Over the years, Jason Biggs has become widely known for portraying Jewish characters, like Jim in the American Pie series, as well as Saving Silverman, Prozac Nation, and Anything Else, even though Biggs is not Jewish. That's right! He was raised Roman Catholic. From 2012-2014 he voiced Leonardo on the animated series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Most people now know him as Piper's ex on Orange Is The New Black. In 2015 he played Guy, an expectant father, in Drive, She Said with Ashley Tisdale. Recently he caught quite a bit of slack for making inappropriate comments about the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.
Alyson Hannigan - Michelle Flaherty

Alyson Hannigan gave us one of the greatest lines in '90s film..."This one time, at band camp..." And while she's popularly known just for that line, Alyson Hannigan is probably more widely known for her TV work. While she was part of the American Pie series, she was still busy as Willow Rosenberg, Buffy's BFF, on Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Shortly after that series ended, she went on to star as Lily on How I Met Your Mother, becoming one half of our favorite TV couple, Lily & Marshall with Jason Segel. In 2003 she married her Buffy co-star, Alex Denisof and even worked again with him on HIMYM, he was Sandy! Her time as Lily ended in 2014, but she's not done yet. In 2016 we can look forward to seeing her in Modern Love, with Mean Girls star Jonathan Bennett.

Chris Klein - Chris "Oz" Ostreicher

While still working in the American Pie series, Klein had a very publicized relationship with actress Katie Holmes. The couple were even engaged to be married, but broke it off in 2003. Shortly after that, he was arrested for driving while under the influence and went to rehab for substance abuse. Since then, he's cleaned up his act, married travel agent Laina Rose Thyfault, and continued acting. Some of his more recent work includes playing Drew on Wilfred from 2011-2014, How We Live, and Damaged. He recently finished production on Out Of the Burning Blue.
Seann William Scott - Steve Stifler

Fun Fact: Seann William Scott only made $8,000 working on the first American Pie film. He was only promoted to a lead character in American Wedding, which surprises us because aside from the apple pie scene, Stifler is the most memorable character from this series. Right after American Pie, he scored a lot of leading roles in Dude, Where's My Car?, Road Trip, and Final Destination. Since 2006, he's voiced Crash in the Ice Age film series. For as many good movies as he's done, like Old School and Role Models, he's had twice as many bad films over the years like American Loser and Cop Out. In 2014 he was in the terrible movie starring a million celebrities, Movie 43. In 2016 he will reprise his role of Doug Glatt from the 2011 film Goon, in the sequel Goon: Last of the Enforcers.
Eddie Kaye Thomas - Paul Finch

Right after the first film in the series, Eddie Kaye Thomas was on the show Off Centre as Mike Platt. He played Rosenberg in the first two Harold & Kumar films, having worked with star John Cho previously. He was on the show 'Til Death from 2006-2007, but was cut out after the second season due to budgeting. He was also on the short-lived show How To Make It In America, as main character David "Kappo" Kaplan. Fans of Seth MacFarlane might know this, he's voiced the character of Barry on American Dad since 2009. In 2014 he joined the cast of Scorpion as Toby Curtis and will appear in the 2015 film The List.

Right after the first American Pie, Thomas Ian Nicholas had a minor role on the TV show Party of Five. He's done guest work on various different popular TV shows, like Medium and Grey's Anatomy. He's worked on two films portraying real-life characters, as Frank Sinatra Jr. in Stealing Sinatra and as Walt Disney in Walt Before Mickey. He was briefly on two TV series recently, Gormiti and Red Band Society, which was received well by audiences but ultimately cancelled. In 2016 we can look forward to seeing him in Zeroville, Strange Ones, and Living Among Us with former '90s hottie Andrew Keegan.
Shannon Elizabeth - Nadia

Like a few people on this list, Shannon Elizabeth's biggest film work happened at the same time as American Pie. Back in 2001 she was in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Thir13en Ghosts. Her part-time, "second job" is poker. She often visits the Las Vegas Valley to compete in poker competitions monthly. She competed in the World Series of Poker multiple times, as well as NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship. Some of her more recent film work includes Marshall's Miracle and Swing Away.
Tara Reid - Vicky Lathum

In the late '90s, early '00s people took Tara Reid pretty seriously. Between her roles in The Big Lebowski, Josie and the Pussycats, and Van Wilder, she was really popular at the time. Since then, her career has taken a steep downfall. She became known for having a botched plastic surgery to fix her breasts and had liposuction, but it backfired and gave her a slight deformity. Her most recent work includes Sharknado, Sharknado 2: The Second One, and Sharknado: Oh Hell No!.
Eugene Levy - Jim's Dad

Eugene Levy and his eyebrows are iconic. We can't look at those eyebrows and not think of American Pie. He's the only actor to appear in every American Pie film, making him a staple in all 8 films. In 2008 he was awarded the Governor General’s Performing Arts Award, a lifetime achievement award that is considered "Canada's highest artistic honor". A few years later he was a made a Member of the Order of Canada, due to "his contributions as a comic actor and writer, and for his dedication to charitable causes." In 2012 Levy was presented with the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, David Charles Onley. Levy was most recently on the TV show Schitt's Creek. In 2016 he will voice the character Charlie in Disney Pixar's highly anticipated Finding Dory.
Natasha Lyonne - Jessica

Natasha Lyonne reprised her role of Jessica in American Pie 2, but none of the future films. Jason Biggs isn't the only American Pie alum in Netflix's Orange Is The New Black. Natasha stars as inmate Nicky Nichols on the show. She recieved a Primetime Emmy nomination for this role in 2014. Over the years she's done a lot of theater work, appearing in productions like Two Thousand Years, Blood From a Stone, and Women Behind Bars. Natasha has a lengthy legal history, due to many DUIs and drug charges over the years, which has led for her to easily relate to her OITNB character, saying "believe me, there's no shortage of things for me to draw on when it comes to Nicky's backstory".

We might have gotten to know her as Oz's love interest in these films, but Mena Suvari is most popularly known for her film American Beauty, which released the same year as American Pie, making 1999 her year. Like her co-star Shannon Elizabeth, she plays poker and has played on the World Poker Tour in the Hollywood Home games for the Starlight Children's Foundation. Over the years she has transitioned from film work to TV, appearing as a guest on many poplar shows like American Horror Story, Chicago Fire, and South of Hell.
Jennifer Coolidge - Stifler's Mom

Jennifer Coolidge will always be "Stifler's mom" to us. She's not a character actress, but she's played some extremely memorable characters in her career. She was widely loved as Paulette, Elle's manicurist in Legally Blonde and it's sequel Legally Blonde: Red, White, and Blonde. She plaued Hilary Duff's character's evil stepmother Fiona in A Cinderella Story, giving us the great line "you're not very pretty and you're not very bright". She makes regular appearances in Christopher Guest's mockumentary films, like Best In Show and A Mighty Wind. She currently stars on the CBS sitcom 2 Broke Girls, with Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs. She has voiced Lazy Susan on Gravity Falls since 2012.
