I remember the first time I, or anyone else in the world, heard of Hamilton.

2009. The White House Poetry Jam. Lin-Manuel Miranda had already done ‘In The Heights’ and was asked to perform. He had written a rap musical about the first Secretary of the Treasury  Alexander Hamilton. People laughed but then with Alex Lacamoire performed for the first time a song from his musical, and killed it.

Years later, it won 11 Tony Awards, the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and is probably still sold out. People could not get enough, and the musical even introduced us to some future stars.

Now, after long waiting, the musical greatness will be available on Disney+, complete with the original cast.

‘Hamilton’ will be available on Disney+ on July 3, 2020.
