Christopher Nolan shows support for movie theaters at Broken Hearts Gallery screening

Director Christopher Nolan followed film fans’ lead and returned to the theater on Tuesday (September 15, 2020) to attend a screening of Natalie Krinsky’s new movie The Broken Hearts Gallery.

The filmmaker, whose mind-bending thriller Tenet was released to theaters last month (August 2020), stunned staff at a multiplex in Irvine, California when he showed up to see the film with his wife.

The masked Brit posed for photos with employees at the venue, who have since posted shots online.

A representative for Regal Cinemas took to Twitter to share an image of Nolan and his wife, Emma Thomas, and wrote: “Thanks for stopping by Regal Irvine Spectrum Christopher Nolan #TENET.”

According to Deadline, the pair took in the romantic comedy, directed by Krinsky and produced by Selena Gomez. According to the outlet, the couple checked out Armando Iannucci’s new film, The Personal History of David Copperfield, at a theater last week (ends September 11, 2020).
