‘Dirty Dancing’ Remake Gets a Release Date

Lionsgate has announced the release date for its fortchcoming remake of Dirty Dancing: July 26, 2013.

As was previously announced, the remake of the hit 1983 film starring Patrick Swayze will be directed by High School Musical‘s Kenny Ortega and written by Monte Carlo‘s Maria Maggenti.

Ortega, who was a choreographer on the original Dirty Dancing, is producing with Debra Martin Chase (The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants). No actors have been cast yet.
