Dora Grows Up in ‘Dora and the Lost City of Gold’ Trailer

Dora the Explorer has been entertaining young people for years, and now she’s getting her first live action film.

A couple of things have changed like Dora is no longer a young girl roaming the jungle trying to learn English and numbers, and now she’s a teen (Isabela Moner) whose parents (Michael Peña and Eva Longoria) have sent to a different kind of jungle, high school. You can take the girl out of the jungle, but you can’t take the jungle out of the girl. She tries to adapt, and when some guys who are up to no good kidnap her and her friends, she has to save her parents with the help of Alejandro (Eugenio Derbez).

The movie looks fun and is very much Nickelodeon. Now I’m not going to go line up to see it, but I would for sure take my niece and nephew. Also, Benicio Del Toro is doing the voice of Swiper and Danny Trejo is doing the voice of Boots, and I just need to hear that.

‘Dora and the Lost City of Gold’ releases on August 2, 2019.
