It’s not a secret that Disney is remaking many of their classic cartoons into computer-generated/photo-realistic animals. They started with the Jungle Book and progressed to the Lion King. Well now their Disney+ service is coming and their first straight to Disney+ movie is ‘Lady and the Tramp’.
The film follows the story of two main characters; Tramp (Justin Theroux), a mutt who has to do what it takes to survive, and Lady (Tessa Thompson), the loveable Cocker Spaniel who lives a posh life. Lady’s family has a baby and Tramp warns her that her family is just going to drop her like yesterday’s news. The two then go out for a night on the town, Lady loses her collar, Tramp teaches her how to live her life and the two fall in puppy love.
The storyline follows the classic and even includes the Siamese cats (no telling if their song is in the movie, but the way the culture is changing I’m guessing they’re going to leave that Lil jingle out.
‘Lady and the Tramp’ will stream on Disney+ when the service launches on November 12, 2019.
