First Trailer For ‘The Adjusment Bureau’ Raises Eyebrows, Questions

The works of Philip K. Dick have made some great films, from Blade Runner and Total Recall to Minority Report and A Scanner Darkly. Today, Universal Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for the latest adaptation of the influential author’s work – writer/director George Nofli’s The Adjustment Bureau.

Starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt, the film tells the story of a man who gets a glimpse of the future that Fate has planned for him and realizes he wants something else. In the face of overwhelming odds, he must either let a mysterious woman whom he’s fallen in love with go and accept a predetermined path…or risk everything to defy Fate and be with her.

Sounds cryptic, right? With Dick, it always is. Co-starring John Slattery, Daniel Dae Kim, Terrence Stamp and Anthony Mackie, The Adjustment Bureau will hit theaters on September 17th, 2010. Check out the trailer below:
