We hoped that there was truth to the report that Slumdog Millionaire actress Freida Pinto would be globe trekking with 007 in the highly anticipated Bond 23. Unfortunately, all good rumors must come to an end and the stunning 26 year old star has denied the rumors that she would be co-starring with Daniel Craig in the new film today.
In an interview with OK!, Pinto said: “I don’t know if I would have done it. I’m too young to be a Bond girl and you need someone more mature and beautiful than me.”
We at Hollywood.com couldn’t disagree any more with Pinto’s humble remarks. A gorgeous, fresh face like her’s would be perfect for the recently rebooted franchise and would starkly contrast Craig’s gaggle of girls, which has thus far included Eva Green, Catalina Murino, Gemma Arterton and Olga Kurylenko. As of now, the new Bond Girl spot in Sam Mendes film remains open and we will keep in informed on all the casting news as it comes in. If you can’t get enough of Pinto, however, you can catch her in Woody Allen’s next film, You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger, due later this year.
