Warner Bros.’ Hangover: Part II earned $31.7 million on Thursday which includes record midnight screenings of $10.4 million. This is the largest single day opening gross for a comedy. This Hangover is off to a stellar start and is likely to earn around $125 million for its first 5 days and around $90 million for the Friday through Monday period. The film is certain to post the biggest opening weekend for an R-rated comedy ever eclipsing the ladies of the first Sex and the City film and its $56.8 million debut.
