In 2006, Al Gore premiered his Academy Award-winning documentary, An Inconvenient Truth.
Now 10 years later, they problems he discussed in that film are still around, so he’s back to the festival he first premiered the original, the Sundance Film Festival, with an updated film; ‘An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power’. With the election of the Donald to President on Friday and the removal of any mention of “Climate Change” from the white house website, this film couldn’t be any more relevant.
From The Sundance Film Festival premiere, hear from the Festival Founder Robert Redford on why the film world is lucky to have Gore as well as introduce the film, Directors Bonni Cohen and Jon Shenk about what it was like to talk to Gore about the issues, and Al Gore dives into the meaning behind the title, as well as why this film is different from the first film.
‘An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power’ releases July 28, 2017.
