Oscar-winner J.K. Simmons has confirmed he is returning to Spider-Man‘s world as publisher J. Jonah Jameson.
The Whiplash star, who first played the role in 2002’s Spider-Man – opposite Tobey Maguire, shocked fans when he reprised the part for a scene in the end credits of last year’s (2019) Spider-Man: Far From Home.
And now Simmons has revealed he’s coming back for more, becoming the first actor to play the same role in a two Marvel movie series.
“There is one more JJJ appearance in the can, and from what I’m hearing, there is a plan for yet another one,” Simmons told SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show.
The actor is also rumored to be portraying Jameson again in Spider-Man spin-off Morbius.
