There are a couple things we never pictured Jared Leto’s dark, twisted version of the Joker ever doing. Among those things are dancing at a gay disco, starring in a ’70s porn or being the kind of dude who sits around in loafers and sips on vodka gimlets. Thankfully, the directors came to their senses because an alternate version of Suicide Squad’s Joker looks just like those things would be his favorite activities.
Images posted by Tina Charad, the costume graphic illustrator for Suicide Squad show an alternate version of the Joker that was later nixed. This early version of the Joker looked a whole lot less intimidating and even — dare we say — flamboyant. His tattoos were horribly campy, and his chest was tattooed with way, way too many “HAHAHAs.”
The tattoos are way too much to actually be believable.
There’s so much bedazzled purple and sheer, shiny fabric, we don’t know how to handle it.
And this whole thing is way too formal.
If anything, we’re just glad the Joker wasn’t wearing these shorts.
What do you think of the old version of the Joker? Tell us in the comments!
