There’s been yet another casting announcement for Christopher Nolan‘s sci-fi project Interstellar. TheWrap reports that John Lithgow has signed on to the film, which Nolan co-wrote with his brother Jonathan. Along with Lithgow, Oscar winner Ellen Burstyn, Twilight actress Mackenzie Foy and Homeland actor Timothee Chalamet have been added to the cast.

Lithgow is just the latest big name to join the already star-studded cast, which also includes Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck, and past Nolan collaborators Anne Hathaway and Michael Caine. McConaughey will play the lead in the movie, which follows a group of explorers as they travel through wormholes to other dimensions.

The script is based on physicist Kip Thorne’s theories about wormholes and time travel. Not much else is known about the film, but with each new casting, we get more and more excited. It’s too bad we still have a quite a long wait, because the film won’t be released until November 7, 2014. If only there was a way to jump ahead in time somehow…
