‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ Cast Explain What’s New With Jumanji

‘Jumanji’ hit the ground running in 1995 when kids opened up a board game and the world of Jumanji and Robin Williams showed up in their living room. The film ended with them throwing the boardgame into the river never to be heard from again.

Or so we thought. 20 years later kids stuck in detention found an old video game console and decided to plug it in. They would be transported to the video game as Avatars of themselves ( Johnson, Hart, Black, and Gillan) and would have to survive the game with abilities and return to the normal world that they are used to.

This film is kind of a shell of what it originally was and as it turns out that’s ok. In the above interview, Dwayne Johnson talks about the evolution of the Jumanji game and why it had to change, Jack Black explains the world that they are transported to, Karen Gillan and Kevin Hart discusses how the character’s avatars are completely different than how they are in real life and why that was so fun to play, and then Johnson and Kevin Hart tell us why hurting each other is their favorite part of working together.

‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ releases December 20, 2017.
