Kid actors talk about their adult doppelgängers in IT Chapter Two

As a kid, you can’t wait to grow up because you want to see what you’ll be like as an adult.

Its a silly idea and kids should want to be kids for as long as possible and stay away from work and bills, but that’s beside the point. IT is told in two parts, from the young Loser’s Club trying to defeat Pennywise the first time, to them coming back to Derry to defeat him again. In 2017 we knew there would a sequel, we just didn’t know who they adults would be, and it was fun speculating. As it turns out, it was even more fun for the kids to find out who their future selves would be.

In the above interview, Director Andy Muschietti tells us about the kids talking about who would play themselves, then Chosen Jacobs, Finn Wolfhard, and Wyatt Oleff talk about the similarities between adult and child actors, Jaeden Martell tells us how about what an honor it was to have James McAvoy be his grown-up self, Sophia Lillis says how excited she was to meet Jessica Chastain, and the adults Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Andy Bean, and James Ransone explain how the kids portrayal got them into the roles.

‘IT Chapter Two’ releases on September 6, 2019.
