Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker has scored the second biggest Christmas Day box office haul ever.
The final film in the latest Star Wars trilogy – and the ninth overall – took in $32 million on Wednesday (December 25, 2019), but still didn’t come close to the record, set by Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which made $49.3 million back in 2015.
The Star Wars franchise has owned the Christmas Day box office – Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Rogue One have the third and fourth-best daily totals for the holiday.

The Rise of Skywalker has now snagged over $259 million in just six days.
