All right, Liam Hemsworth, don’t get ahead of yourself. Sure, you’ve made your way into the cast of The Expendables 2 — an amass of testosterone that threatens to skyrocket seismic levels — but you haven’t quite earned the right to the air of badass exhibited in these new images, featuring he and costars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in their upcoming movie Empire State. Of course, Hemsworth is simply in character in the shot below, depicting one half of a 1980s crime duo that robs an armored car company for all its worth. But the performance seems a little too convincing. You were in The Hunger Games and you didn’t even PLAY the Hunger Games! You were on a show called The Elephant Princess! Where do you get off? Sorry, sorry… I know, he’s just acting. But a little too well.
Johnson, on the other hand, has more than earned the right to his cocky glare and even cockier neck-positioning. The man has both fought and been horrific mythical creatures. He has taken journeys to mysterious islands and has raced to witchy mountains. This is a guy who can claim “badass” like nobody’s business.
