We’re just going to pretend for a second that Mean Girls 2, the horrid, made-for-TV movie that tarnished the Mean Girls legacy, never existed. We’ve been waiting for a real Mean Girls 2 since Cady Heron slipped Regina George her first Kalteen Bar and we’re not alone. We already know that Rachel McAdams wants a sequel, but now we’re also hearing that Lindsay Lohan has been desperately trying to make Mean Girls 2 happen. Hopefully, it will catch on more than”Fetch.”
Speaking with CNN and Facebook Live, the Mean Girls star admitted that she’s been trying really hard to get Mean Girls 2 into motion.
“I have been trying so hard to do a Mean Girls 2, it is not in my hands,” she said. “I know that Tina Fey, Lorne Michaels, all of Paramount — everyone’s very busy. But I will keep forcing it and pushing it on them until we do it.”
LiLo has also done a bit of the work ahead of production (the busy film execs can thank her when it’s finally made).
“I’ve already written a treatment for it,” she said. “So I just need a response.”
Way to go Lindsay! What better way than to get basics of the film from Cady Heron herself? We’re crossing our fingers that LiLo’s perseverance makes the movie happen. You go, Glenn Coco!
