Well, this is huge.
Natalie Portman might venture back into the world of superheroes, but this time — not behind a masked vigilante. The actress is rumored to be the next Lois Lane in the upcoming Christopher Nolan-produced Superman reboot. Whoa! This follows more rumors that Darren Aronofsky will be directing. Double whoa!
Now, this is all just talk. In typical rumor fashion, Moviehole reports that a “friend” who “worked on Black Swan” said that Aronofsky has been “talking about this for awhile.”
The source goes on to say that they don’t think “talks have progressed beyond the suggestion of having Natalie Portman be Lois. They wanted her the first time around, this time they can get her — with Darren. But who knows where that’s at now… Nothing’s on paper yet. Don’t add his name to the IMDB director listing on the film’s page yet.”
So obviously, this is all friend of a friend of a friend of a friend type stuff, but still — it’s exciting! Remember how badass Portman was in V for Vendetta? Could you imagine her as Lois Lane??
