New Movie Trailers: Deadlock

Deadlock is a new thriller starring Patrick Muldoon, Bruce Willis, and Matthew Marsden. The film follows an ex-military man who works in a power plant and faces danger when rogue soldiers take over the plant and hold employees as prisoners.

Deadlock was directed by Jared Cohn, who also wrote the script with Cam Cannon. The movie is full of action and shows the lengths to which one will go to avenge those they love.

New Movie Trailers: Diary of a Wimpy Kid 

Diary of a Wimpy Kid is the new animated film based on the popular children’s book of the same name by Jeff Kinney. The movie follows main character Greg Heffley’s journey through high school.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid features the voices of Brady Noon, Ethan William Childress, and Chris Diamantopoulos. The film was directed by Swinton Scott, and written and produced by Jeff Kinney.

New Movie Trailers: Downton Abbey: A New Era

Downton Abbey: A New Era is the sequel to the 2019 film Downton Abbey, both of which continue the storyline of the TV show (2010-2015). The historical drama film follows the Crawley family after Violet Crawley (Maggie Smith) informs them that she has come into the possession of a villa in the south of France.

Downton Abbey: A New Era stars Hugh Bonneville, Samantha Bond, Laura Carmichael, Nathalie Baye, and Jim Carter. The movie was directed by Simon Curtis and written by Julian Fellowes, who created and wrote the television series and the 2019 film.

New Movie Trailers: Redeeming Love

Redeeming Love is based on the 1991 novel of the same name by Francine Rivers. The movie’s story is inspired by the Bible’s book of Hosea, but takes place during the California Gold Rush in 1850. The film follows Angel, who was sold into prostitution as a child and now must hesl as a young woman.

Redeeming Love stars Abigail Cowen, Tom Lewis, Logan Marshall-Green, and Famke Janssen. The film was directed by D. J. Caruso, who also wrote the script with Francine Rivers.

New Movie Trailers: Swan Song 

Swan Song is a sci-fi film about a husband and father who is presented the option to create a carbon copy clone of himself when he learns that he has a terminal illness. He must then make the emotional and difficult decision whether or not to replace himself with this copy in order to save his family from grief.

Swan Song stars Mahershala Ali, Naomie Harris, Awkwafina, and Glenn Close. The movie was directed and written by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Benjamin Cleary.

Mark Rylance plays an English tailor named Leonard in the crime drama film The Outfit. When Leonard faces a personal tragedy, he moves to Chicago. There, he operates a tailor shop, making clothes for a family of dangerous gangsters. The cast includes Dylan O’Brien, Zoey Deutch, and Johnny Flynn.

New Movie Trailers: Turning Red

Disney is set to release a new animated coming-of-age movie centered around a Chinese-Canadian girl called Turning Red. Set in Toronto between the years of 2002 and 2003, the film tells the story of Mei Lee (Rosalie Chiang), a 13-year-old girl who turns into a red panda when she gets excited or stressed. The movie also stars Sandra Oh, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Wai Ching Ho, and Jordan Fisher.

Filmmaker Guillermo del Toro adapts William Lindsay Gresham’s novel for the screen with his updated version of the neo-noir psychological thriller film Nightmare Alley. Based on the book of the same name, the movie follows a 1940s traveling carnival employee Stan Carlisle (Bradley Cooper) who teams up with a psychiatrist Dr. Lilith Ritter (Cate Blanchett) to manipulate and con the wealthy.

Jennifer Lopez plays Latin pop superstar Kat Valdez in the romantic comedy Marry Me. The film includes a soundtrack with songs by Jennifer Lopez and Maluma.

Ben Affleck and Tye Sheridan star in the coming-age film The Tender Bar. Directed by George Clooney (yep, that George Clooney), the movie focuses on writer and journalist J. R. Moehringer and his life growing up on Long Island. In the film, J. R. (Tye Sheridan) seeks a replacement figure for his non-existent father and bonds with his uncle (Ben Affleck). Lily Rabe, Christopher Lloyd, and Sondra James also star.

The documentary film Try Harder! gives audiences insight into the intense and challenging lives of high school seniors. Directed by Debbie Lum, the movie portrays 5 Lowell High School seniors in San Francisco as they prepare for the college application process.

New Movie Trailers: Belfast

Written and directed by Kenneth Branagh, Belfast is a coming-of-age drama-comedy that takes place in 1960s Northern Ireland. Kenneth Branagh told Variety that Belfast is his most personal film. The movie centers around a working-class family and their young son as he grows up during the Northern Ireland conflict.

Belfast stars Jude Hill, Caitríona Balfe, Jamie Dornan, and Judi Dench. The was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, where it won the People’s Choice Award.

New Movie Trailers: Morbius

Morbius is an upcoming superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. The movie stars Jared Leto as Michael Morbius, a scientist who uses a dangerous cure to try to save himself from his rare blood disease. He turns himself into a form of vampire, obtaining superhuman powers.

Morbius was written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, and directed by Daniel Espinosa. The film also stars Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Michael Keaton, and Jared Harris.

New Movie Trailers: Last Shoot Out 

Last Shoot Out is a Western about Jocelyn (Skylar Witte) a newlywed who learns that her husband had her father shot down. She then runs away from she and her husband’s home when she finds gunman Billy Tyson (Brock Harris) who tries to keep her safe.

Last Shoot Out was written by Lee Martin and directed by Michael Feifer. The movie also stars Jay Pickett, Cam Gigandet, Bruce Dern, and Michael Welch.

New Movie Trailers: Moonfall

The sci-fi action film Moonfall stars Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson, and John Bradley. The movie takes place when a force knocks the moon out of its orbit around Earth. In an attempt to preserve life as they know it, a NASA executive, an astronaut, and a conspiracy theorist team up and travel into space to take matters into their own hands.

Moonfall was written by Harald Kloser, Spenser Cohen, and Roland Emmerich, who also directed the film.

New Movie Trailers: Needle in a Timestack

Needle in a Timestack sci-fiction movie that follows newlywed couple Nick (Leslie Odom Jr.) and Janine (Cynthia Erivo) whose marriage is on the rocks after the Janine’s ex-husband (Orlando Bloom) time travels in an attempt to ruin her relationship with Nick. Nick’s memories begin to vanish, and he must decide the price he’s willing to pay to be with Janine.

The film also stars Freida Pinto and Jadyn Wong. Needle in a Timestack is based on the short story of the same name by Robert Silverberg. The movie was written and directed by John Ridley (12 Years a Slave).

Chris Evans takes over as the young Buzz Lightyear in the upcoming Disney film, Lightyear. The movie serves as a spin-off of the Toy Story series, which follows the origin story of Buzz Lightyear. New Movie Trailers: Licorice Pizza 

Paul Thomas Anderson makes his return with the comedy-drama Licorice Pizza. This coming-of-age story follows a teenage actor Gary Valentine (Cooper Hoffman) who navigates life and newfound relationship with Alana Kane (Alana Haim) in the San Fernando Valley in 1973. Sean Penn, Tom Waits, Bradley Cooper, Benny Safdie, Maya Rudolph, and Ben Stiller.

This film marks the first movie role for Haim band member Alana Haim as well as the film debut of Cooper Hoffman, the son of the late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman..

Caleb Landry Jones stars in the psychological drama Nitram. The movie is based on Martin Bryant, a convicted Australian mass shooter who murdered 35 people and injured 23 others in the 1996 Port Arthur massacre. It focuses on the life and behavior of the disturbed young man and what led to that day.

American Underdog is the upcoming biopic about former NFL quarterback Kurt Warner. The film is based on the book All Things Possible by Kurt Warner and Michael Silver. The story follows Kurt’s journey from working an average job in a grocery store to becoming an NFL Hall of Famer.

American Underdog stars Zachary Levi, Anna Paquin, and Dennis Quaid. The movie was written by Jon Gunn, David Aaron Cohen, and Jon Erwin, who also directed the film with his brother Andrew.

New Movie Trailers: The Tragedy of Macbeth

Directed and written by Joel Coen, The Tragedy of Macbeth is a drama based on the play of the same name by William Shakespeare. The story focuses on a Scottish Lord who is determined to become the King of Scotland. The film’s teaser previews a very ominous mood for the movie and indicates that it will take place in black and white.

The Tragedy of Macbeth stars Denzel Washington, Frances McDormand, Corey Hawkins, Brendan Gleeson, and Harry Melling.

New Movie Trailers: Nightmare Alley

Nightmare Alley is a psychological thriller based on the 1946 novel of the same name. This marks the second film adaptation of William Lindsay Gresham’s novel following the 1947 movie directed by Edmund Goulding. The film centers around a manipulative carny (Bradley Cooper) who forms a relationship with a psychiatrist (Cate Blanchett) who might be more dangerous than he is.

Nightmare Alley features an ensemble cast that includes Toni Collette, Willem Dafoe, Richard Jenkins, and Rooney Mara. The film was directed by Guillermo del Toro, who also wrote the screenplay with Kim Morgan.

New Movie Trailers: Warning 

The upcoming sci-fi thriller Warning stars Alex Pettyfer, Alice Eve, Annabelle Wallis, and Patrick Schwarzenegger. According to Lionsgate, the film takes place in the future where society has put a bigger emphasis on technology than human contact. The characters must then deal with the consequences of their actions when a storm causes smart devices to become faulty.

Warning marks the directorial debut of Agata Alexander, who wrote the film with Jason Kaye and Rob Michaelson.

New Movie Trailers: Last Night in Soho

Last Night in Soho is an upcoming psychological horror film starring Thomasin McKenzie, Anya Taylor-Joy, Matt Smith, and Terence Stamp. The movie follows a young fashion designer who has a sixth sense and finds herself transported to 1966, inhabiting the body of a famous nightclub singer of the time. The film’s directed by Edgar Wright, who also wrote the film with Krysty Wilson-Cairns.

Last Night in Soho had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 4, opening to many positive reviews. The Guardian’s Xan Brooks calls Last Night in Soho “a gaudy time-travel romp” that is “thoroughly silly and stupidly enjoyable.”

Jackass Forever is the fourth installment in the film franchise based on MTV’s reality series Jackass. The movie is a slapstick comedy that follows cast members as they perform ridiculous pranks and stunts. Starring in the film are Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Wee Man, and Chris Pontius. Jackass Forever also includes guest appearances from celebrities like Tyler, The Creator, Machine Gun Kelly, Tony Hawk, and Rob Dyrdek.

Ron’s Gone Wrong is an upcoming computer animated film from Locksmith Animation and 20th Century Studios. The movie takes place in a world where children have small walking, talking robots that follow them around. The main character Barney has been wanting a robot just like his classmates but when he receives 1 from his father, he notices there’s something wrong with its code.

Ron’s Gone Wrong has a star-studded ensemble cast featuring Zach Galifianakis, Jack Dylan Grazer, Olivia Colman, and Ed Helms. The film’s directed by Jean-Philippe Vine and Sarah Smith, who also wrote the movie with Peter Baynham.

Directed by Steven Spielberg, West Side Story is the second film adaptation of the Broadway musical of the same name. The romantic drama follows main characters Maria (Rachel Zegler) and Tony (Ansel Elgort) who are part of rival gangs in New York City but fall in love regardless. The film also stars Ariana DeBose, David Alvarez, Mike Faist, Rita Moreno, and Maddie Ziegler.

West Side Story is set to hit box offices on the 60th anniversary of the original film!

Lamb is a supernatural drama that follows an Icelandic couple who raise what appears to be a cross between a human child and a lamb. The film first premiered at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival on July 13 in the Un Certain Regard (“from another angle”) category.

Based on the urban legend “The Black-Eyed Kids,” comes Let Us In, a film that follows two 12-year-olds (Makenzie Moss and O’Neill Monahan) as they investigate the disappearances of several teens in their small town. As their search grows more intense, they discover more may be at play than just a traditional missing persons case.

Tobin Bell, Lauren Stamile, and Sadie Stanley also star in this fun coming-of-age film.

New movie trailers: Fear Street Part 1: 1994

All 3 films in Netflix’s new Fear Street trilogy (based on the R.L. Stine novels of the same name) are set to release this month. The first film in the trilogy, Fear Street Part One: 1994 follows a group of teenagers who are terrorized by an evil force that is responsible for a string of brutal murders in their small Ohio town.

Fear Street Part Two: 1978 follows a group of feuding campers and camp counselors who must band together when a haunting killer attacks.

The final film in the new trilogy, Fear Street Part Three: 1666 focuses on a witch hunt that has a lasting impact on the town while also wrapping up storylines for the first two films.

Sadie Sink, Kiana Madeira, Olivia Welch, Maya Hawke, Ashley Zuckerman, and Darrell Brit-Gibson star in this groundbreaking film series.
