New movie trailers: Hotel Transylvania: Transformania 

Brian Hull, Andy Samberg and Selena Gomez star in Hotel Transylvania: Transformania. This all-new animated adventure featuring the hilarious Drac pack has them facing their biggest challenge yet. The entire pack are transformed into humans and Johnny becomes a monster! It’s like Freaky Friday, Hotel Transylvania edition.

New movie trailers: Midnight in the Switchgrass

Are you a sucker for a serial killer film? This one’s for you. Megan Fox, Machine Gun Kelly, Emile Hirsch, and Bruce Willis star in Midnight in the Switchgrass which Variety describes as “a fast-food meal that makes you think, ‘Okay, that wasn’t good for me, but I got what I paid for.’ A film like this one is a junk-franchise burger: tasty, processed, and basically fake.”

Midnight in the Switchgrass is available for rent now.

New movie trailers: Ailey

Directed by Jamila Wignot, Ailey is a documentary about Alvin Ailey, a talented choreographer and founder of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. The New York Times says how Jamila “layers images, video and — most important — voice-overs from Ailey to create a portrait that feels as poetic and nuanced as choreography itself.”

But things get complicated after her car is stolen and Liza must make her way through Los Angeles by foot. Accompanied by an imaginative version of her younger self (Cailee Spaeny), Liza bumps into a wild cast of friends and family along the way.

Olivia Wilde, Fred Armisen, Helen Hunt, Whitney Cummings, Tawny Newsome, Finn Wolfhard, Bobby Lee, Glenn Howerton, Bradley Whitford, Colin Hanks, Charlie Day, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Lamorne Morris, and Nick Kroll also star in this hilarious off-beat comedy.

Disney and Pixar’s newest animated features follows 13 year old Mei Lee (Rosalie Chiang) as she attempts to balance staying a dutiful daughter as well as all the mayhem of middle school adolescence. Although, if Mei gets too excited or stressed she instantly transforms into a giant red panda.

Sandra Oh voices Mei’s mother, Ming, in this animated coming of age fantasy comedy.

New movie trailers: Blue Bayou

An official selection of the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, Blue Bayou follows Antonio LeBlanc (Justin Chon), a Louisiana raised Koarean adoptee who is faced with deportation from the only country he’s ever called home. Now Antonio risks losing his wife (Alicia Vikander) and his step-daughter (Sydney Kowalske) as his world gets turned upside down.

Mark O’Brien, Linh Dan Pham, Vondie Curtis-Hall, and Emory Cohen also star in this emotional melodrama.

Hollywood’s favorite serial killer is back in No Man of God. After being sentenced to death and awaiting the electric chair, Ted Bundy (Luke Kirby) opens up about his vile crimes with FBI analyst Bill Hagmaier (Elijah Wood). Through a series of conversations (which were pulled from real life transcripts), Bundy and Hagmaier develop a complicated relationship.

Robert Patrick, Aleksa Palladino, Christian Clemenson, and Mac Brandt also star in this chilling mystery drama.

Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans will mark the end of the epic multi-year collaboration between Guillermo Del Toro, Dreamworks, and Netflix. Set 1 year after the events of Wizards: Tales of Arcadia, Rise of the Titans sees heroes from the entire franchise unite to fight the evil Arcane Order for control over the magic that binds all of them.

The Australian survival horror film, Great White, follows 5 passengers who must fight for their lives when their seaplane is destroyed, and they are trapped on a raft among man-eating sharks. Directed by Martin Wilson, the film stars Katrina Bowden, Aaron Jakubenko, Tatjana Marjanovic, and Kimie Tsukakoshi.

With interviews from American restaurateur David Change and French chef Éric Ripert, the documentary looks at Anthony Bourdain’s approach to food, culture, and travel.

In one of the most anticipated superhero movies of the summer, Henry Golding stars as a mysterious lone fighter in Snake Eyes. Lin-Manuel Miranda lends his musical talents again for the new Disney animated film Encanto. The movie tells the story of a young Columbian girl Mirabela (Stephanie Beatriz), the sole child in her home without magical powers. But when the magic is in danger, she realizes she’s the only one who can save her family. The cast also features appearances by Wilmer Valderrama, Adassa, and María Cecilia Botero.

From the creators of the hit HBO crime drama The Sopranos comes a prequel called The Many Saints of Newark. The new movie follows a teenage Tony Soprano (Michael Gandolfini) during the ‘60s and ‘70s as he attempts to navigate his place in a violent crime war that his family is involved in.

Alessandro Nivola, Leslie Odom Jr., Jon Bernthal, Corey Stoll, Vera Farmiga, and Ray Liotta also star in this highly anticipated crime film.

Rodo Sayagues directorial debut, Don’t Breathe 2, follows Norman Nordstrom (Stephen Lang) eight years after the events of the first film. Norman is living peacefully with his new adopted daughter (Madelyn Grace) when intruders once again break into his home. The retired veteran must use his military training to protect himself as well as his adopted daughter.

Brendan Sexton III, Adam Young, Bobby Schofield, and Rocci Williams also star in this horror thriller.

Everyone’s favorite red canine is coming to the big screen in Clifford the Big Red Dog. Emily Elizabeth (Darby Camp) finds her new best friend in Clifford, a red puppy that a magical animal rescuer gifts her. However, after Clifford quickly grows to stand over 10 feet tall, an evil genetics company plots to run tests on the friendly pup. With the help of Emily Elizabeth’s quirky Uncle Casey (Jack Whitehall), the duo and Clifford must fight off the evil company and teach the entire world a little something about acceptance and love.

Izaac Wang, John Cleese, Russell Wong, Kenan Thompson, and Rosie Perez also star in this adorable family flick.

Based on the urban legend “The Black-Eyed Kids,” comes Let Us In, a film that follows two 12-year-olds (Makenzie Moss and O’Neill Monahan) as they investigate the disappearances of several teens in their small town. As their search grows more intense, they discover more may be at play than just a traditional missing persons case.

Tobin Bell, Lauren Stamile, and Sadie Stanley also star in this fun coming-of-age film.

New movie trailers: Fear Street Part 1: 1994

All 3 films in Netflix’s new Fear Street trilogy (based on the R.L. Stine novels of the same name) are set to release this month. The first film in the trilogy, Fear Street Part One: 1994 follows a group of teenagers who are terrorized by an evil force that is responsible for a string of brutal murders in their small Ohio town.

Fear Street Part Two: 1978 follows a group of feuding campers and camp counselors who must band together when a haunting killer attacks.

The final film in the new trilogy, Fear Street Part Three: 1666 focuses on a witch hunt that has a lasting impact on the town while also wrapping up storylines for the first two films.

Sadie Sink, Kiana Madeira, Olivia Welch, Maya Hawke, Ashley Zuckerman, and Darrell Brit-Gibson star in this groundbreaking film series.
