One of my favorite tropes is the disillusioned person in charge who refuses to believe something despite it being right in front of their face (if they actually know about it and are lying to cover it up that just makes them a scumbag). It’s fun to watch people cling to ignorance for safety and there is always that moment when the hero shows up with proof and is all like “SEE?! What’d I tell you?” If he throws in a “Bitch!” for good measure, I wouldn’t complain.
Basically, the reason I’m telling you this is because this trope is in play in this new trailer for Screen Gems’ Priest and it completely ruins tone of the footage at hand. As does the fact that it’s a big ole stinking pile of fail. Enjoy!
