Olivia Wilde Joins Indie Comedy ‘Longest Week’

7822977.jpgOlivia Wilde has signed on to star in The Longest Week, the feature-film debut of writer-director Peter Glanz, Variety reports. The film, which is being produced under the indie banner Far Hills Pictures, chronicles the travails of an aimless Manhattan dilettante who, in the span of a week, “finds himself evicted, disinherited and in love.” Wilde, presumably, will play the love interest.

Wilde had a challenging summer, starring in two of the season’s more high-profile flops, Cowboys & Aliens and The Change-Up. Her latest film, the political satire Butter, debuted to mixed reviews at the Telluride Film Festival. Perhaps The Longest Week can reverse the unpleasant trend.
