If you’ve ever watched a Hollywood awards show, or heard a joke about a Hollywood awards show, you know that it’s widely accepted that Harvey Weinstein is regarded as something of a master. And why not? Movies he produced took home Best Picture in 2011 and 2012, and a laundry list of others have nabbed nominations and awards in all the other big categories. This year, he’s got two horses in the race, Silver Linings Playbook and Django Unchained. Can he pull out another victory? Or is this “mojo” just a fun topic for jokes and banter?
