Ghostbusters hits theaters in less than a month and the reboot has drawn massive excitement. Everything about the Ghostbusters film feels like a fresh take on the franchise, including the new theme song.
Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliott — two all stars with a proven track record in awesome — teamed up to revamp Ghostbuster’s classic theme. One would think that two massive artists collaborating on a major movie soundtrack would lead to an instant hit, but apparently, everyone thinks the song is terrible.
The Internet is awash with hate for Fall Out Boy’s take on Ghostbusters, and while we admit the Missy Elliott pairing might be a little weird, mixing genres could be really cool. In theory. Elliot is a legend and should be treated with respect; however, the Internet doesn’t ever really care about those sort of things.
Here’s what Twitter had to say about the track.
Netflix announces "Making a Murderer 2" will focus on Fall Out Boy's brutal and senseless murder of the "Ghostbusters" theme.
