‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ Is Back With ‘Dead Men Tell No Tales’ — Watch The First Trailer!

Pirates Of The Caribbean is back after six years with a brand new trailer for the fifth installment Dead Men Tell No Tales.

The trailer is chock full of adventure and some spooky undead ghost pirates — it’s basically everything we love about the franchise. In addition to Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom reprising their roles as Captain Jack Sparrow and Will Turner, there are three brand new characters. Javier Bardem plays an evil Captain Salazar, Brenton Thwaites plays Henry, who’s giving us some major young Will Turner vibes, and Kaya Scodelario plays the astronomer Carina.

There’s so much going on in this trailer we’re not sure what to expect, but it all looks really good! Still, it’s uncertain if this film will perform as well as well as the rest of the franchise. It’s been six years since Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and since then, Johnny Depp has gone from playing a fictional, lovable drunk pirate to allegations of being a real life, drunk domestic abuser. It’s possible that it’s just too much controversy for a kid’s movie, but at the same time, Depp has such an esteemed career, it might not effect the beloved franchise at all.

Pirates Of The Carribean: Dead Men Tell No Tales hits theaters in May 2017.
