Pixar And ‘Cars 3’ Announces Team Up With NASCAR in Video

Some things just go together.

Peanut Butter and Jelly. Lemonade on a hot summers day. Lamb and Tuna fish.

Now another pairing will make sense. The ‘Cars’ franchise and Nascar. Cars is a huge series, and if you have a young brother, nephew, or son, you know they can’t get enough of the talking vehicles. They are everywhere, and so is Nascar. People just love watching drivers go in a circle not knowing how to turn left.

Now the two titans of their industry are joining forces. Starting at last weekend’s Daytona 500, fans of the franchise will be able to get up close and personal with Lightning McQueen and Cruz Ramirez on most of the stop on the Nascar circuit. In the above interview, Director Brian Fee talks a little bit more on their team up, voice of Nascar Shannon Spakes discusses her new bragging rights, Cristela Alonzo still can’t believe she’s in the franchise, Richard Petty says how excited he is to rejoin the franchise with his son Kyle Petty, and Jeff Gordon tells us why this team up makes sense.

Cars 3 is out June 16, 2017.
