‘Tis the season for movie reunions! On November 29th, the cast of Love Actually reunited for the 20 year anniversary of the film. In a special 20/20 episode with Diane Sawyer, cast members like Hugh Grant and Emma Thompson and writer-director Richard Curtis sat down to talk about the movie’s impact.
The Love Actually special takes a look at special memories
The British romantic comedy follows several different characters leading up to the holidays and how their characters interact. The special topic in the film is about love.
“I think that we forget, time and time again, that love is all that matters. It’s all that matters,” Emma Thompson said to Diane Sawyer during the special. Thompson played Karen, a wife who feels diminished by her cheating husband (played by Alan Rickman who died in 2016.)
