See A Whole Lotta Badass Women In The ‘Widows’ Trailer

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you’ll know that there’s a movement in film/tv today.

Women never got the roles that many men got because “they weren’t believable”, “No one would see a movie with women”, and “Women can’t be badasses”. That all changes with ‘Widows’.

The film starts with the husbands (most notably Liam Neeson) who have been killed while doing heists, leaving behind their spouses. Unfortunately for them, they owe some money to people you don’t want to owe money to (Brian Tyree Henry and Daniel Kaluuya). Now, teamed up with a politician (Colin Farrell) and the widows (and stars, Viola Davis, Elizabeth Debicki, Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Erivo) have to commit a robbery to pay back their husband’s debt, mostly because people don’t think they can pull it off.

The movie looks badass, and when its written by Gone Girl’s Gillian Flynn, directed by Steve McQueen, and music by Hans Zimmer, the film quickly becomes a must see.

‘Widows’ releases November 16, 2018.
