See the Cast of ‘Scream’ Almost 20 Years Later

It’s been almost 20 years since the late Wes Craven’s Scream premiered, setting off a new wave of horror films and catapulting some lesser known actors into stardom. Though Craven would go on to direct three more Scream films, the last of which premiered in 2011, Scream was the prototype. See the cast of Scream almost 20 years later.

Neve Campbell - Sidney Prescott

Neve Campbell has seen major success in Hollywood since portraying terrorized teen Sidney Prescott in the original Scream. The same year Scream premiered, Campbell also starred in another cult classic, The Craft. From 1994-2000 Campbell starred in the critically acclaimed television drama Party of Five. She has reprised her role as Sidney in all three of the Scream sequels, and she has recently appeared on major television shows including Mad Men, House of Cards and Grey's Anatomy.
Drew Barrymore - Casey Becker

Barrymore's glass shattering yell opened the Scream franchise. Though her character Casey Becker didn't live for very long, Barrymore's career has continued to take flight over the past two decades. Barrymore was no stranger to the screen prior to Scream, however after the film, she formed Flower Films which produced her films Never Been Kissed, Charlie's Angels and 50 First Dates. Lately, Barrymore has worked more behind the scenes producing the upcoming film How To Be Single starring Alison Brie and Dakota Johnson.  Barrymore has acted as the UN's Ambassador Against Hunger and has been a CoverGirl model since 2007.
Skeet Ulrich - Billy Loomis

The year Scream debuted was an incredible year for Skeet Ulrich. That same year he starred in The Craft with Scream co-star Neve Campbell, and in Boys with Winona Ryder.  After Scream, Ulrich had small roles in the films As Good As It Gets and Ang Lee's Ride With the Devil.  From 2006-2008 Ulrich portrayed Jake Green in CBS' Jericho. Ulrich is a recurring voice actor for Adult Swim's Robot Chicken, and he will be starring in two major films coming out in 2016.

Rose McGowan - Tatum Riley

Though her character Tatum Riley was decapitated in Scream, Rose McGowan has continued to shine in Hollywood. Post Scream, McGowan starred in The WB's fan favorite show Charmed until it ended in 2006. In 2007 she starred in the Quentin Tarantino/Robert Rodriguez double-feature Grindhouse. Recently McGowan has been in ABC's Once Upon A Time and on Crackle's Chosen. McGowan is an activist for LGBT rights, and has been very vocal about sexism in Hollywood.
Courteney Cox - Gale Weathers

Though she is best known for her role as Monica Geller on the world renowned television series Friends, Courteney Cox has also appeared as Gale Weathers in all of the Scream films. Post Friends, Cox went on to star in the fan favorite TBS series Cougar Town, and she is currently filming the movie Mother's Day which is slated for release in 2016. Cox married her Scream co-star David Arquette in 1999, and though the couple divorced in 2013, they remain dear friends, co-parenting their daughter Coco and continuing their business relationship with Coquette Productions.
David Arquette - Dwight 'Dewey' Riley

David Arquette has appeared in all four of the Scream films as Dewey Riley. After filming the World Champion Wrestling (WCW) film Ready to Rumble in 2000, Arquette frequently appeared in WCW story lines. Though he has had small roles in numerous films and television shows over the past two decades, Arquette has mostly focused on producing. He co-produced his then-wife and Scream co-star Courteney Cox's series Cougar Town. Arquette is currently married to Entertainment Tonight correspondent Christina McLarty  and the two have one son. Arquette also has a daughter Coco with Courteney Cox. Arquette's older sisters are well-known actresses Rosanna and Patricia Arquette.

Jamie Kennedy - Randy Meeks

Jamie Kennedy starred as Randy Meeks in the first three Scream films. After Scream, his WB show, The Jamie Kennedy Experiment was a top rated show on the network. In 2003, Kennedy wrote, produced and starred in the comedy Malibu's Most Wanted with actors Taye Diggs and Anthony Anderson. From 2008-2010, Kennedy played  Eli James in the CBS drama Ghost Whisperer with then girlfriend Jennifer Love Hewitt.
Matthew Lillard - Stu Macher

Though Matthew Lillard appeared as Stu Macher in the first three Scream films, he is best known for portraying Shaggy in the Scobby-Doo live action and animated franchises. Despite his main role as Shaggy, Lillard also starred in the teen mega-hit film She's All That in 1999, and he has had recent roles on The Good Wife and Criminal Minds. Lillard is a Dungeons & Dragons fan, and lives with his wife and three children in Los Angeles.
Liev Schreiber - Cotton Weary

Though Liev Schreiber's big break was playing accused murderer Cotton Weary in the Scream franchise, he has had major success outside of the horror genre.  Schreiber is a Tony award winning classical stage actor. He has also starred as Sabretooth in the X-Men: Wolverine spin-off. Schreiber played late president Lyndon B. Johnson in Lee Daniel's The Butler in 2013, and he is best known for starring in the title role in Showtime's Ray Donovan. Schreiber narrates the HBO series 24/7 and has two sons with his partner, actress Naomi Watts.

Henry Winkler - Principal Arthur Himbry

Henry Winkler's character Principal Himbry didn't survive the first Scream film, but Winkler himself has had a long career in Hollywood. Winkler is best known for his role as The Fonze on the '70s sitcom Happy Days. Since his role in Scream, Winkler has starred in a number of Adam Sandler films including The Waterboy and Click. Recently Winkler has had recurring roles on NBC's Parks and Recreation and Fox's Arrested Development.
Roger Jackson - Ghostface Voice

Roger Jackson is perhaps one of the best kept secrets in Hollywood. A voice actor, Jackson was never actually seen in the Scream franchise, but his voice terrorized people over the phone.  Along with Scream, Jackson has also lent his voice to numerous video games including: The Sims, Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. Jackson also voiced Mojo Jojo in Cartoon Networks' The Powerpuff Girls from 1998-2005 and he will be reprising his role in the series reboot coming in 2016.
W. Earl Brown - Kenny

Cameraman Kenny might have met a sticky end in Scream, but W. Earl Brown has had a fantastic career. Post Scream, Brown had several small roles in television series including NYPD Blue and Angel. He also had roles in There's Something About Mary and Vanilla Sky. However, Brown is best known for his role as Dan Dority on HBO's Deadwood. Recently Brown has starred in ABC's American Crime and HBO's True Detective. He will also be seen in the upcoming ABC series Wicked City.

Who knew that the voice of Ghostface was the same voice one of The Powerpuff Girls archenemy? We never put that together when we watch the Cartoon Network.
