‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’ Has Started Shooting!

‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’ is slowly on it’s way!

We may be 667 days away (not like I’m counting down or anything) without a full title, but ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’ has begun principal photography. We don’t know much about the film yet, but they began shooting with how The Force Awakens ended. (spoiler if you haven’t seen Force Awakens yet) Rey (Daisy Ridley) hands Luke (Mark Hamill) his old lightsaber.

This isn’t all they’ve accomplished of course. Finn (John Boyega) wrote on his twitter that the he worked on the first day as well:

They’ve also announced on the official site that Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern, and Kelly Marie Tran will be joining the cast.

Star Wars: Episode VIII is set to release on December 15, 2017.
